Substance Abuse Testing Program and FASB Update

I hope you’ve had a chance to check out our new website! It is easier to use and we are making sure it is populated with more updated and relevant content. Speaking of content, we have recently added new information on the following:MCA-KC Substance Abuse Testing Program

On December 21, 2011, MCA-KC and CorporateCare held training sessions for all principals and Designated Employer Representatives of contractor companies Signatory to Local 8 or Local 533. The training covered the current Substance Abuse Testing Program and the utilization of the new password protected database to review the status of current and potential employees. An additional training session will be offered in the future for those who were unable to attend in December. You can access the information that was covered in the meeting by visiting this page on our website. We need every contractor to complete the Designated Employer Representative Form to update our files, so please complete this and send to the MCA-KC office today.

Complying with FASB’s New Standard 715-80

MCAA has developed answers to Frequently Asked Questions, an interactive FASB Disclosure Table Excel worksheet, and a Guidance Memo to help its member contractors and their accountants comply with FASB’s new Standard 715-80, “Disclosure about an Employer’s Participation in a Multiemployer Plan.” You can access these documents by visiting this page on our website.
