Steve Janasz joined MCA of Kansas City as Associate Director in February of 2009. In this role, Steve is responsible for working to enhance the Association’s efforts to more effectively communicate with its member organizations, gain greater visibility for the industry, and advance the overall mission of the Association.
Steve’s experience covers nearly two decades in the field of corporate communications, including the areas of public relations, media relations, marketing, customer relations, employee relations, and community relations. Prior to joining MCA-KC, Steve served as Director of Communications for Axcet HR Solutions in Lenexa, KS; Manager of Media Relations for the Community Blood Center of Kansas City; and Director of Marketing & Public Relations for Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, KS.
Steve is a member of the International Association of Business Communicators, has served on the Board of Directors of the UMKC Pharmacy Foundation, and is a 2006 graduate of the Lenexa Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Lenexa program. He received his Master of Business Administration degree from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO and his Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Biology from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS.
Steve and his wife, Shelly, have two sons – Riley age 9 and Ramsey age 6.
