What You Will Learn…
This free one-hour session is targeted to mechanical, electrical, and sheet metal contractors – owners, principals, project managers, safety coordinators, and anyone else involved in the safety & claims related process – in an effort to provide them with an overview of how best to deal with expensive work comp claims handling, coordination, and culture, and ultimately saving their company time and money in claims related costs.
This session is presented by a panel of experts that includes members of the Joint Safety Committee composed of contractors from MCA-KC, NECA-KC, and SMACNA-KC, as well as representatives from Lockton Insurance Company.
This event is free to all MCA-KC, SMACNA-KC, and NECA-KC contractors and is open to all employees within your organizations who wish to learn how to help reduce your company’s costs related to safety issues. The session is designed to allow all contractors of all sizes – small, mid-sized, and large – to network with each other and share information regarding safety best practices.
All Contractors Signatory to either Local 8 or Local 533 are invited to a free two-hour morning session that will provide an overview of the Foreman Certification Training material given to every Local 8 and Local 533 5th Year Apprentice, as well as any current journey workers who want to further their education in jobsite leadership. The purpose of this session is to help our contractors (specifically Project Manager level and above) better understand and communicate more consistently and effectively with the field leadership and become a stronger contracting community.
All attendees will receive a copy of the Training Manual.
