If we do nothing, then union mechanical contracting will be limited to only complex construction and service jobs. That means fewer projects and fewer hours for fewer workers.

We can’t afford business as usual. Projects are down, hours are down, and both contractors and our workers are struggling.

It’s probably no surprise to you that, in recent years, union plumbing and pipefitting has been on the decrease while non-union shops are on the rise.

So we’re at a crossroads and we’re faced with a decision.

We can choose to continue down the same path that ultimately spells the end of union mechanical contracting as we know it. Or we can choose the other path, which leads to the beginning of a new era of growth and opportunity for union employees and contractors.
