Celebrating the Success of the Third Annual Heavy Metal Summer Experience in Kansas City
The Kansas City Heavy Metal Summer Experience recently celebrated its third successful year. This week-long camp provided thirty high school students with hands-on training in skilled trades like plumbing, pipefitting, sheet metal work, electrical work, and building trades. Supported by local unions, contractors, and volunteers, the camp aims to bridge the gap in the workforce by inspiring the next generation of tradespeople. MCAKC Executive Director's Mid-Year Review
MCAKC's Executive Director, Stacy Zerr, reports great progress on the 2024 Plan. We have expanded educational opportunities with new training sessions and have strengthened partnerships with unions.
