Accepting Applications for OMI Awards

It's that time again! 
 
The MCA of Kansas City is accepting applications for its 2024 Outstanding Mechanical Installation (OMI) Awards.  Submission Deadline is March 1, 2024.
 
The Outstanding Mechanical Installation awards return in 2024.  The MCA of Kansas City is now accepting application for work completed in 2022 and 2023.  OMI is designed to recognize outstanding mechanical projects completed in the preceding two years as well as to honor and promote quality workmanship in the mechanical trade. These projects should showcase the best in Kansas City – innovative projects and the best quality workmanship.
 
Project Categories will include:

• Heating, Ventilating, and Cooling
• Process Piping
• Refrigeration
• Plumbing 

All installations to be judged must be the work of Pipe Fitters Local Union No. 533 or Plumbers & Gas Fitters Local Union No.8.  Projects must have been completed during the 2022 and 2023 calendar years.  

Entries will be organized into award categories based on project size/costs. These projects should reflect a standard of excellence built through a partnership of union mechanical contractors and labor teammates.
 
Projects will be judged in mid-March and early April.  The Outstanding Mechanical Installations awards will be held June 7, 2024 at the Marriott Overland Park.
