Swing into Success: Women in Mechanical Industry Golf Lessons Score Big!
In early Fall, WiMI-KC hit the green with a series of golf lessons tailored for beginners and women who were still learning and the results were nothing short of fantastic. With over 25 enthusiastic participants our Women in Mechanical Industry (WiMI) golf lessons proved to be a hit!
The initiative, spanning five rounds of lessons, aimed to not only teach the fundamentals of golf but also foster connections among women in our industry. It was a fantastic opportunity to network, learn, and, most importantly, have fun in a supportive environment.
Divided into two groups - the 101 beginners and the 201 refining their skills - our participants learned the basics to honing their swings. Despite sweltering temperatures exceeding 100 degrees on some days, these resilient ladies showed true grit and dedication, powering through the heat with unwavering enthusiasm.
Our golf journey ended with a fun Saturday spent on the course, where two teams of four showcased their newfound skills over nine exhilarating holes. The camaraderie and spirit displayed were truly inspiring, reflecting the essence of WiMI's mission to empower and support women in the mechanical industry.
But the excitement doesn't stop there! WiMI-KC is gearing up to sponsor a team at our Annual Golf Outing in October, offering another chance for our members to showcase their talents and network with industry peers. Plus, with plans to host more lessons next fall, there are plenty of opportunities to join in the fun and take your golf game to new heights.
