About the Happy Kit Drive
This holiday season, the MCA of Kansas City hosted the Happy Kit Holiday Drive to collect care packages for Children's Mercy Hospitals. Happy Kits are designed to comfort and uplift young patients and their families during hospital visits.
What's in a Happy Kit?
Happy Kits contain items like coloring books, crayons, small toys, stuffed animals, hygiene products, and more—bringing a little joy to children and providing a helpful distraction during a challenging time.
Our members collected kits for a range of ages and needs:
- Pre-K/Kindergarten Happy Kits (Ages 2–6)
- School-Aged Happy Kits (Ages 7–12)
- Teen & Caregiver Happy Kits (Ages 13 and up)
- Greeting Card Happy Kits, filled with materials for patients to make cards for others.
Thank You and Happy Holidays!
As we wrap up the holiday season, we're reminded of the power of community and compassion. Thank you to everyone who contributed, and Happy Holidays from MCA of Kansas City!
