Refrigerant Regulatory Update -
What You Need to Know

Join us for this breakfast session December 4 at 8:00 AM!

Clark Gribble from United Refrigeration
will review the federal and state regulations as they relate to the HFC refrigerants in the HVACR industry. You'll learn about the technology transitions that will be necessary to comply with these new regulations, and what to do with your existing systems that are operating in the field.

Topics include:
  • HFC Phasedown Schedule (not phase out)
  • HFC Allocation System
  • Technology Transitions
  • GWP Limitations
  • Refrigerant Options
Facts
  • The phase down is not refrigerant specific - no HFC has been banned
  • The phase down is based on the CO2 equivalency of the GWP HFC refrigerants
  • In-depth look at the properties of new A2L refrigerants that effect system capacity, efficiency, servicing, and system design
  • Comparing the Life Cycle Climate Performance (LLCP) of A2L refrigerants to CO2 in grocery store systems
  • UL Charge Limits and Mitigation Strategies for A2L and A3 refrigerants
  • Low GWP Refrigerant Lubricants
  • Service Tools for low GWP refrigerant systems
  • Refrigerant Management-Preservation of Current HFC supply
