DOT Reasonable Suspicion & Supervisory Training

In this Lunch & Learn, Supervisors will learn how to recognize signs and symptoms of substance abuse as well as how to document episodes of suspicion and confront employees regarding inconsistent behavior and possible abuse and misuse, while minimizing legal liability.
Training shall include physical, behavioral, speech, and performance indicators of probable alcohol misuse and use of controlled substances.
This program is offered at no charge to employees of Signatory Contractors and Associate Members of the MCA of Kansas City as well as Members of NECA Kansas City.
Participants will receive a certificate upon successful completion of this program.
Lunch will be provided.


Sandy Brown is a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) and trainer/consultant who specializes in the drug & alcohol awareness requirements mandated by Federal agencies FMCSA, FAA, FTA, FRA.  Sandy is a licensed social worker in Missouri/Kansas who also provides organizational development and management consulting services in conflict resolution, violence in the workplace, critical incident response services and team building.   

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations for all MCAKC events must be received at least 2 business days prior to the event by email to cpaulson@mcakc.org or by phone at 913-948-9200. Cancellations received after this time will be assessed a $100 cancellation fee.
