  2. Identify the key elements of the MCAKC Collective Bargaining Agreement and apply them to real project situations.
  3. Develop strong relationships with project foremen that result in effective labor productivity.

Instructor

Stacy Zerr's career has been deeply rooted in the construction industry since childhood. Her diverse professional experience spans roles such as design engineer, estimating manager, project manager, technology lead, and preconstruction manager. Zerr has worked for both large and small contractors, as well as industry-serving technology firms like QuickPen and Trimble Navigation. Since 2013, Zerr has been actively involved with the MCAA (Mechanical Contractors Association of America). Her national contributions include serving on the Innovative Technologies Committee and teaching at the MCAA Institute for Project Management. She has also participated in various other MCAA committees, including being a founding member of Women in the Mechanical Industry (WiMI), and serving on the Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Project Management Education committees. Academically, Zerr holds a construction and mechanical engineering degree from Iowa State University and an MBA from Regis University in Denver. She is a licensed Professional Engineer in six states. Beyond her professional pursuits, Zerr is engaged in community service, currently serving on the Board of Directors for the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park, Colorado. Previously, she contributed to the Iowa State Construction Engineering Advisory Committee.
 
Matt Hildreth, Construction Division Manager at the Waldinger Corporation, has been in the industry since 1987. Starting in the field, he became a project manager in 1995 and joined Waldinger over two decades ago. Matt now oversees mechanical, electrical, and service contracting. He took charge of the Wichita division in 2005. A licensed master plumber, he's actively involved in SMACNA's Kansas chapter, having served as president and on various committees. Matt now sits on the Board of SMACNA. Matt also contributes to the industry's future by sitting on Joint Apprentice Committees for local 441 plumbers & pipefitters, and Local 29 sheet metal workers unions.

No Shows”, except for emergencies, will be assessed a fee and invoiced $50 for a half day seminar, $100 for a full day, or the full amount of event expenses paid.
