Management Skills for Administrative and Business Professionals
The support you provide is vital to your company's ability to achieve its goals and thrive as a business. Business owners expect you to have the leadership and management skills to set your own administrative priorities and juggle competing tasks. Business leaders also routinely mention "anticipation of needs" as one of the most important skills for administrative and support staff. This seminar will give you a wide range of skills to help you handle any work challenge with greater confidence and effectiveness. You'll learn how to work to the best of your abilities, build relationships, and encourage the best in those who work with and for you. You'll leave with an action plan of best practices to apply immediately on the job.

Leann Eaken is a valued member of the Continuing Education support staff at Johnson County Community College. She specializes in project management for contracted and open enrollment classes in the Business Skills and Lean Six Sigma department. Leann completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree, (BA), in Management and Human Relations from MidAmerica Nazarene University of Olathe, Kansas. She holds a JCCC Lean Sig Sigma Black Belt certification, a discipline which requires talent in team building and organizational change. Leann has 14 years of experience as an administrative professional. Her desire is to impower administrative staff members through positive assertiveness, communication and in developing their professional brand.

Registrants in JCCC continuing education courses may transfer their registration to another course.
