Importance of Emotional Intelligence in Mechanical Contracting

This seminar is offered online via Zoom.

Participants attending this session will walk away with a clear understanding of what emotional intelligence is and the significant impact it can have on their career. Emotional intelligence is made up of both personal and social competencies that will be explored at length during the class. The class will have the opportunity to create individual action plans geared toward increasing emotional intelligence through application of detailed strategies. The group will also learn about the dreaded emotional hijack and how to avoid the associated self-sabotage. Increasing your emotional intelligence will help lead the way to improving important relationships and make the application of other leadership skills easier and more effective. 


Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this seminar, participants will be able to:

  • Explain how increasing your emotional intelligence can impact the trajectory of your career.
  • Outline the core components of emotional intelligence and how to interpret your own emotional intelligence assessment.
  • Identify and apply strategies to increase your emotional intelligence and improve key relationships.
Cost: FREE to employees of Signatory Contractors and Associate Members.

Target Audience: Anyone working in mechanical contracting who is interested in immediately increasing their effectiveness on the job through increased emotional intelligence.

This class includes individual EQ assessments.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations for all MCAKC events must be received at least 2 Business Days prior to the event by email to capulson@mcakc.org or by phone at 913-948-9200. Cancellations received after this time will be assessed a $100 cancellation fee.

No Shows” will be assessed a fee (see below) and invoiced accordingly.

$50 Event Duration: Up to 4 Hours
$100 Event Duration: Over 4 Hours (Should the event cover more than one day, this fee will apply for each day of event)
