Effective communication is crucial in providing exceptional service experiences. In this seminar, Service Technicians will learn valuable skills to improve their service ticket writing abilities and enhance communication with both customers and team members.
In this session, we'll review best practices for composing service tickets. Attendees will discover the essential components that must be included in every service ticket, ensuring clarity and comprehensiveness. Techniques for writing effective service tickets will be shared, including tips for utilizing voice-to-text technology to streamline the ticket creation process.
Participants will learn the importance of developing exceptional communication skills. They will gain insights into the art of active listening and understand their role in developing meaningful interactions with customers and co-workers. They will also learn valuable tips for interpreting body language, enabling technicians to communicate more effectively with customers.
Attendees will participate in small group activities where they'll review example completion reports for various challenging service scenarios. Participants will put their new skills into practice by creating service tickets tailored to address the complexities of these real-world service situations.
By the end of this session, service technicians will be equipped with knowledge and tools to create concise, informative service tickets, while also using the interpersonal skills necessary for effective communication.

started his career as a steamfitter with Local 602 in the Washington D.C. region, and after completing his apprenticeship, went on to become an instructor for the Union Apprentice Program. He has dedicated his life to teaching, coaching, and helping contractors be successful. He spent 45 years working his way through every job title in mechanical contracting. He’s served on countless committees, taught apprentices of his own, and finally after serving as the National Chairman of MSCA, he decided it was time to retire. But retirement for Woody doesn’t look like rounds of golf and beers on the beach. Rather, it’s more of an extension of his passion for education in the trades.
