This class can be completed alone or as part of the Finance Series.
This workshop will focus on identifying financial trends and impacts and how the project team and accounting group must work together to manage long term profitability and sustainability in their organizations. Participants will know what is expected from everyone on the team in order to ensure that accurate and meaningful data flows through to key financial statements. The group will explore how project decisions and performance can impact short and long term company financial strategies and be able to spot trends and problem areas in financial statements. The group will explore the budgeting process and how it is used as a tool to forecast and manage company strategies. The class will practice making critical cash flow decisions and learn how cash flow impacts a company’s health and solvency. The day will wrap up with a discussion on why projects should be run like a business and how each individual project impacts overall company well-being.
