Fundamentals of Project Scheduling

In this seminar, you will learn about several different types of schedules used in construction projects and common scheduling terminology. Specific schedules to be reviewed include CPM (Critical Path Method) Schedule, Manpower Loaded Schedule, BIM Coordination Schedule, Fabrication Schedule, Equipment Delivery Schedule and Short Interval Planning. This seminar will also cover how to use, create and leverage schedules as a construction Project Manager in an effort to ensure installation efficiency. In-class activities and instructor stories of real-life scenarios experienced will be utilized to illustrate the benefits and significance of understanding construction schedules.
At the end of this seminar, you will be able to:

- Describe the fundamental types of schedules tha exist and their respective benefits and shortfalls.
- Identify how poor scheduling can impact labor productivity.
- Explain how each type of schedule is utilized by a project manager.

Through Aichele & Associates, LLC, he teaches national workshops focusing on project management, managing and forecasting labor, estimating, change orders, blueprint reading, and how to perform water audits. He’s also a former MCAA Career Development Committee Chairman and was an adjunct professor at the University of Washington for 17 years.
