For over 100 years, Union Mechanical Contractors have been instrumental in shaping the physical landscape of Kansas City. Their association with Local Union Plumbers and Pipefitters has resulted in some of the most significant construction projects in the nation.

Kauffman Stadium
Home to the 1985 & 2015 World Series Champions Kansas City Royals. A $220 million renovation included the addition of an all-new administrative building, broadcast booths, and dining rooms, as well as upgraded suites, expanded on courses, additional restrooms and an outfield experience.

H&R Block World Headquarters
H&R Block’s World Headquarters features a two-story glass lobby with a 20 foot natural stone water wall, outdoor plaza with water features, 25,000 square foot data center, and 5 levels of under building parking.
The three-story low-rise portion of the complex includes a modern cafeteria, conference rooms, retail offices, and a 330 seat theater which is shared with the Kansas City Repertory Theater.

Bartle Hall Exhibition Center
A 338,800 square foot Exhibition Center that covers an area the size of eight football fields–enough space for more than 2,000 10 by 10 display booths. The hall’s perimeter features a multitude of show offices, restroom facilities, and concession stands.

Arrowhead Stadium
Home to the Kansas City Chiefs. This $375 million renovation increased the facility size from 1.2 million to 1.6 million square feet. Updates included increasing restroom facilities for men by 36% and 96% for women.

Sprint Center
A $276 million, 18,500 seat state of the art facility designed to host major concerts and sporting events year round. It includes a 41,000 square foot building which houses the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame.

Stowers Institute for Medical Research
A $300 million, 600,000 square foot facility designed for what is regarded as one of the most innovative biomedical research organizations in the country.

Kansas Speedway
At $250 million, this is Kansas City’s entry into the world of NASCAR racing. The 1.5 mile tri-oval track boasts a seating capacity of over 75,000.
Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts

Church of the Resurrection
The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection’s 3,500 seat sanctuary building is the centerpiece of a $93 million capital improvement plan for its 76 acre Leawood Campus.
Burns & McDonnell World Headquarters
Burns & McDonnell’s expansion of their 37 acre World Headquarters Campus in South Kansas City featured a four-story, 310,000 square foot building. Amenities include; health center, coffee bar, credit union, 2,500 square-foot rooftop terrace event space, 250 seat auditorium, 60 conference rooms, 4 large training rooms, and a full-service pharmacy. This expansion was completed under the $85 million budget.
